The Success Project: NLP Modeling

How to Break a Board? What For?

You may be wondering why do a board break during the NLP Master Practitioner?

Is it the feeling of excitement, joy and delight, the satisfaction?

Is it the incredible sentiment of accomplishment that if you did this you can do anything else?

Is it the symbol that the Unconscious Mind receives that you can do what you sent your mind to do and that it is possible?

This video is from our NLP Master Practitioner in Sydney 2013 – have fun watching it!

I have been asked by some here in the NLP Master Practitioner  what’s in it for me? What do I get every time out of the board braking experience? And the
truth is that it does not matter what it means to me, it matters what it means to you!

Every person makes out of this experience what they need to know deep within that if they could master the strategy of breaking a board with their palm,
they can apply this very same strategy (generalize it) in other contexts of life. At the beginning it seems almost like an impossible task. Although all
120 people began with doubts, everybody broke the board.

What is this all about?

But is it really about breaking the board, or is it far more than that?

The truth about breaking a 1 foot square piece of 12 inch pine shelving with your palm, has nothing to do with power or force. It has everything to do with
speed and follow through which in turn has to do with focus and concentrations of energy.

This leads us back to one of the main principles in NLP and Time Line Therapy which is the issue of focus. Can you focus your mind on one single task to
the exclusion of everything else? Because of you can, your goals will gain a tremendous impetus of energy and determination, and as you made that board
break, you can break through to your goals just as easy.

The point is modeling. How do you actually model an excellent behavior of somebody who’s just soooo good at what they do, and how do you elicit it from
them and then install it in yourself so you achieve the same result as the expert?

Well, congratulations to all the participants in the NLP Master Practitioner class of May 2013 in Sydney, Australia. You are all awesome and we’re
confident that you will achieve the same great results with your coaching clients.
