Fear is Your Greatest Enemy Part 5

Continuing From the End of Part 4

Tad James – Speaker 1

You do need to find something to focus on. You need to develop your critical thinking to think outside the box (continuing his speech about how you need to make a change)

Adriana James – Speaker 2

You need to find something that is very valuable for you in your life, something that is your purpose, your direction. You shouldn’t be like I forgo smoking, for how long, for the rest of your life. No! You still need to find that purpose, that direction. Why did you want to earn money in the first instance? What is important to you? It could be your lifestyle, children, family or your health. These are the important things. But how are you going to do it? Ok I will make a decision, they are hammering you.  I will step out of my comfort zone. Maybe you don’t know how, you might not have new strategies or skills. Then learn, there is so much information available around us. Just learn the new skills.

Tad

Stepping outside your comfort zone is not something that is easy.

Adriana

It is upsetting your comfort level by definition.

Tad

But it is something that is necessary. It is something different than the current box of thinking that you are confined to. It’s about developing the skills to think differently. You have to be critical. One of the things I ask myself at times is that what will happen if this happens and then ask myself the opposite as well (referring to his one way of dealing with problems) And those are just four questions, you need to develop a series of questions whereby you to think outside the box that is provided for. Because if you don’t start thinking outside the box you will get what everybody else in the box gets (referring to the limited scope of thinking people have developed)

Adriana

This is the advice that you are given, the expert advice. You are looking for advice and that’s what you get. Is that helpful?

Tad

This is good good advice?

Adriana

Like that’s going to help (being sarcastic) will that do any good

Tad

So what is the answer?

Adriana

Firstly you need to arrive at a point and make a decision.  You need to change something to get your power back. That’s where it begins

Tad

What’s the second thing? Now that you have made that decision what do you do?

Adriana

You need to acquire new resources. Maybe you need to use new strategies that you haven’t used in the past

Tad

You are where you are because of the resources you haven’t had or used yet.

Adriana

You have to look and notice what’s missing. It may be simple skills, inner skills, it maybe new ways of thinking so that you can step outside the box.

Tad

Maybe you want to do something on your own and stop working for that big corporation. By the way it is much better to work for yourself in these times

Adriana

Because you can’t fire yourself

Tad

Think of our friend in Australia (referring to an earlier example given in the session) She was the highest producing person. She was fired because she was the newest

Adriana

We called on the phone to emphasize.

Tad

She was in a totally positive state. She said I know so much about this business I am going to start my own company. She said nobody can fire me.

Adriana

She told us that maybe I am not going to make as much money in the first months as I made from that corporation. But all of it is going to be mine.

Tad

Nobody can fire you if you work for yourself. But we aren’t saying that you should work for yourself. What we are trying to convey is that you need to use the resources. She already had resources to open her own firm (referring to his friend who after being fired decided to become an entrepreneur)

Adriana

You need to acquire that something that you think you are lacking. It is something that will allow you to implement the decision you just made.

Change of Scene

(Referring to his own learning over the course of his career)That’s how I got to know hypnosis. By the way there are 50 or 100 books published by me out there that aren’t worth reading (cracks a joke)  but there are at least a 100 of them there that are worth reading the first that you need to do if you want to be an expert in your field is read something about something.

Adriana

If you want to have a healthy mind you also have to take care of your body. You can’t put junk in your body and pretend that it’s not happening. If you eat junk food then you shouldn’t expect to have healthy mind. I will give you another example here there is a wealth of information on the internet. Did you know that the impact of plastic on water mimics the impact of estrogen. So men and women in our society are estrogen dominant. You know what estrogen does to you? It makes you moody.
