Hypnosis: Why Should You Learn NLP, Time Line Therapy® techniques and Hypnosis

By Drs. Tad and Adriana James

From Hypnosis a Comprehensive Guide: “If you can hallucinate a tennis ball, you could hallucinate a little PAC-man traveling through your body gobbling up cells or substances that have been causing dis-ease. If you had severe muscle pain in your back, think what a relief it would be just to sit down and go into trance, or work with a Hypnotherapist, and say, ‘Unconscious Mind, go ahead and heal the muscles in my back.’ If you have clear communication with your Unconscious Mind, you can do that.”

The Tad James Company teaches the most advanced Hypnosis techniques today — the Hypnosis of Erickson, Estabrooks, and Elman.

At our Hypnosis trainings Dr. Tad James, MS, PhD, an acknowledged expert in Hypnosis and the author of Hypnosis: A Comprehensive Guide, and Dr. Adriana James, MA, PhD will share with you techniques that will take you beyond anything you already know.

NLP and Time Line Therapy® are advanced hypnosis training techniques for helping people change quickly, without a formal induction.

What is Hypnosis?

Mysterious: Since the humble beginnings of hypnosis in 1843, it has been shrouded in mystery. The process was immediately recognized as being powerful, but was mixed-up with the superstitious beliefs that were so common in the mid-1800’s. Today after years of research, we are sure that hypnosis is a credible, scientifically based process for successfully creating change at the unconscious level.

Today: Current thinking in Psychology generally agrees that we all have a Conscious Mind and an Unconscious Mind. Making a change in our attitudes, beliefs and values is not easy for most people to do, because they approach the change consciously. But for a change to happen it needs a two-pronged approach to the Conscious Mind and the Unconscious Mind. Hypnosis facilitates that by making the Unconscious Mind more amenable to suggestion from the Hypnotist or even by you.

The Unconscious Mind is the part of you that runs your body. It runs your digestion. It breathes you while you are asleep. It beats your heart. It causes your nerves to send information along the neural network pathways. That means that the Unconscious Mind is the source of the intelligence of your body.

Why Do We Want To Learn Hypnosis?

In my book, Hypnosis a Comprehensive Guide, I said, “The value of experiencing trance and learning hypnosis lies in attaining power to heal our own bodies and guide clients in healing theirs…power to learn…and power to create changes in our lives.” NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis are all about creating change — making your life better.

If you can produce hypnotic phenomena in yourself, such as arm catalepsy (stiffness), major muscle group relaxation, full body catalepsy, or somnambulistic behavior, then you have the power to produce healing changes in yourself.

In Addition To Healing: the Unconscious Mind opens new doors to learning. If there is something you want to learn easily, you can say to your Unconscious Mind, “Let’s learn this,” and it will support you. If you are concerned about a presentation you are making, you can say to your Unconscious Mind, “Let’s organize all of this to flow easily and effortlessly.” Your Unconscious Mind will do all of this for you.

In trance, we can also tap into real power to create changes in our lives, healing what needs to be healed, preserving learnings from the past, and making new neurological connections to manifest our dreams. For these purposes, we teach NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis to hundreds of people each year.

If we have rapport with our Unconscious Minds, we will have all the resources we need to create the future of our dreams.

Milton Erickson, MD, once said that patients are patients because they are out of rapport with their own Unconscious. Hypnotherapy patients are people who have had too much programming—so much outside programming that they have lost touch with their inner selves. People who are in touch and in rapport with their Unconscious Minds control their destiny.

We Explore Hypnosis for Two Purposes: On one hand, we are learning how to be superb Hypnotherapists, able to lead others to the rich benefits of trance. On the other hand, we are learning how to be very good hypnotic subjects, so that we can access those benefits by entering trance ourselves.
